Ar-Riyad, Saudi Arabia Aug 11, 2025 (Issuewire.com) - The Communications, Space and Technology Commission (CST) announced the organization of a comprehensive event on the sidelines of the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR25), set to take place at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh from August 31 to September 3.
CST Assistant Deputy Governor for Corporate Communications and Marketing Saeed AlGhamdi stated that the side event represents a key expression of global engagement, offering a dynamic platform to showcase regulatory innovation and share insights on the future of digital regulation and emerging technologies.
He added that the event also reflects CSTs commitment to expanding international collaboration and reinforcing the Kingdoms position as a leading advocate for sustainable digital regulation.
The side event will officially open on August 31 with the launch of the Media Oasis, held in partnership with the Ministry of Media, and serves as an interactive space featuring pavilions that showcase major government projects in the Kingdom, alongside innovations in regulatory technologies (RegTech).
It will feature participation from leading local and international companies specializing in the telecommunications, space, and technology sectors. The oasis will spotlight success stories from Saudi artificial-intelligence (AI) startups and host the Sync Digital Balance initiative, which will feature dialogue sessions centered around the concept of digital well-being.
TEDxRiyadh sessions will begin on September 2, forming part of the side events program. The global platform presents inspiring visions and exceptional experiences in fields such as technology and AI.The sessions will highlight the human beings central role through powerful personal stories that explore the human impact of technological advancement.
The event will also present a series of expert-led panel discussions and interactive presentations exploring key regulatory themes. These include the future of AI in the 6G (sixth-generation) era, the governance of quantum technologies, and the integration of terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks to support global connectivity. It will further highlight outcomes from SpaceUp, a CST initiative that seeks to develop space-based solutions to address pressing challenges across vital sectors.
As a whole, the event extends CSTs efforts to position the Kingdom as a global hub for innovation and digital regulation.
